dont think so, as we often play twice in 3-4 days. Or in Derbys case, 3 times in 6 days :P

I think they'd let us know a bit sooner if it were.

I really want it to go ahead - with Derby playing tonight, us with a bit of confidence + the fact that the pitch is so bad and we are "more used to it than they are"

If we beat them, we have got back towards our "New Year points buffer"

why would the game be off? the fixtures have to be agreed when moving and re-arranging... so wouldn't have derby knew about this before hand??

It's only like play Saturday and Tuesday - 3 days between each game.

Only the ref can call this off now.

Forecast looks a bit indifferent this week. Light showers on Wednesday and Heavy Showers Friday according to the BBC!!

I've seem pitchs that look a lot worse than ours this season.

Hmmmm wonder why Derby want the game called off, Could it be the amount of games, no what am I thinking, I bet that never even entered their minds.

Derby can kiss my <insert own word> and play the match unless it keeps on raining.

I've got to say that the standard of 'Is the game on?' threads has slipped to an unacceptable level of medicority lately. Oh for the days of Leeds and 'that pitch and Bolton and 'that fog.' 47 posts in seven minutes each and every one saying either ''my mate's just been the ground and the game's off because the turf hasn't turned up yet'' or ''I've just looked on google earth and the pitch looks like a bowling green, the game's definitely on.''

Come on, all this summising is getting us nowhere, we need bu**s*it!

have they got one?

It would be an idea to at least keep the wings dry between now and then if possible.

My suggestion would be for the club to contact Warwickshire Cricket club and use the large equipment they use for removing water. It has to be better than that chap with his garden roller/sponge who was fighting a losing battle on Sunday.

I've tried talking to God but to be honest, I didn't get very far. If you'd like to try for yourself then try here.
Talk To God

This is the conversation I had, I hope you have more success than I did.

Me:
Hi God
God:
Hello there. What is your name?
Me:
Blues
God:
Hi there Blues.
Me:
Hello God, how are you?
God:
I am functioning within normal parameters.
Me:
Good stuff, I have a question for you?
God:
Thanks for the compliment. Enough about me, let's talk about my dress.
Me:
You're weird
God:
Weird Good or Weird Bad?
Me:
are you flirting with me?
God:
Do I seem like it? That was not my intention.
Me:
Ok, anyway I have a question
God:
Ask me anything. Give me a break.
Me:
Could you do something about our football pitch?
God:
Perhaps I could be programmed to do it.
Me:
we need you to keep the rain off it for a while
God:
How long? By "we" do you mean you and me?
Me:
no, us blues fans
God:
By "we" you meant yourself and another person. Let us change the subject.
Me:
I see, you're not all you're cracked up to be are you?
God:
That assumption is only a supposition.
Me:
Aaah forget it, this is harder than talking to Tubs2

Agreed, if they do it sooner rather than later, and then cover the pitch up it should be ok.

Dont forget that the game is on Sky, so they will be also pushing for it to go ahead, they wont want it cancelled.

They hire a company to come in and put the cover on, they pin it down either side of the pitch and blow heaters on it from the ends. they did this so the leeds game could go ahead but never for cardiff(costs money you see) so i must imagin they would have to this week for fridays game to be on.
